Micromax’s joint venture YU Televentures released new phablet YU Yureka Note in India. The price in India is set way below 15K and its available for both online, offline purchase. Yureka Note is very good in terms of specs, offering ultimate multimedia and gaming experience. To make things sound better it also have dual speakers for videos and gaming. Since YU is a venture between Micromax and Cyanogen the phone, obviously, comes loaded with Cyanogen OS 12.1 on top of Android Lollipop.
In terms of design, the phone like any other phablet, it’s little big if you are into small phones. The Saturn Ring rear camera design and perfectly placed fingerprint scanner. One thing I observed though, at least from the pictures, the phone looks washed out. It’s more plastic in looks. One of the best feature I liked about this device is the fingerprint scanner. I mean, I use different types of wallets, my card informations, many private information are stored in phone so, I would prefer a phone which offers me more security.
The 6″ inch Full HD display has a pixel density of 367ppi and is IPS LCD panel. The Corning Concore Glass 3 offers superior protection. The device has an octa-core 1.5 GHz Meditek processor along with Mali-T720MP3 GPU for graphics support and a 3GB of RAM. In terms of security, the Yureka Note comes with a finger print scanner on the back of the device. A huge 4000mAh battery is used to power up the device. The device also supports Quick Charge 2.0, means you can charge upto 60% in 30mins.
The 13MP primary camera has phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash. There is no 4K video support instead you will get the 1080p recording at 30fps. The secondary camera or the selfie camera of 8MP. In terms of connectivity; 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi b/g/n. For a price of Rs 13,499 for the Yureka Note, you will get above average specs, great battery and above all the fingerprint scanner for added security.
